Frances Cash Bradley

Wrens, GA –               Frances Cash Bradley, 95, loving wife of the late Willis “Eugene” Cash, entered into her eternal rest early Sunday morning, January 31, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be held in the Jefferson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday afternoon, February 2, 2021 with Reverend Charles Reese officiating.

Because of the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed.  The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during this gathering.

Frances was born to the late Estelle Bostik Coker and the late Andrew Jackson Coker in Engima GA where she lived until the age of 4 when her mother died. She then lived with different family members in central and southern Georgia until she married the love of her life, Eugene Cash, and moved to Jefferson County in the early 1940’s. Eugene passed when their youngest was only 1 month old, leaving Frances to raise her nine children as a single parent.  She enjoyed being outdoors working in her flowers and gardening, and working on her crafts. Frances was known as an exceptional cook and found great pleasure in preparing and sharing meals with her family. Never one to be idle, she was very industrious and was always busy. Frances loved her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Second Chance Church in Thomson.  She also attended Full Gospel Church in Mitchell.  Her faith, and God’s grace and mercy, sustained her through life’s hardships and trials. Being strong-willed and straight forward, she was a loyal, dependable friend, helping others anyway she could.  Frances was a supportive mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally.  Her family was her life and each one held a piece of her heart.  The void left by this matriarch is great but her legacy will live on through her family and those whose lives she touched.

Frances was also preceded in death by her three sons, Eugene Cash, William “Cullen” Cash and Oscar Cash; and six siblings, Kate Jarvis, Pearl McIntyre, Vera Cawthon, Viola Tucker, Lonnie Freeman and Beatrice Drazgowski.  Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Augustus “Gus” Cash (Christine), Carolyn C. Newsome, Joseph A. Cash (Tammy), Dandell Beaufort (Tim), Martha C. Guy (Cicero) and Denise Shuman (Brian); 31 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; a multitude of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chase Braswell, Christopher Cash, Jason Cash, Phillip Cash, Cody Ewest, Kyle Ewest, Carl Newsome and Billy Sears. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Bragg, Dylan Cash, Jonathan Cash, Mark Cash, Benjamin Cranford III, Benji Cranford, Canaan Cranford, J.P. Cranford, Sam Cranford, Landon Griswell and Ricky Wood.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. Stephen Schmidt, all the staff of Southeast Hospice, including the aides, nurses and medical equipment personnel, as well as to her family physicians, for their excellent, professional and compassionate care.
