William Louis Brown, Jr.
Gibson, GA – William Louis Brown Jr., 51, loving husband to his soulmate of 32 years, Teresa Ann Wiggins, entered into his eternal rest Thursday evening, September 20, 2018 at University Hospital in Augusta. Services to celebrate his life will be held in the James Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, September 23, 2018.
Billy was born in Augusta but having a father in the Air Force, he traveled the world until his Dad’s retirement when they settled in North Augusta. There, he met the love of his life at the age of 17. They lived in the Augusta area but wanting to give their sons a better life, Billy and his family moved to Gibson in 1998. He worked in construction and in various local retail stores, but his main job and focus was taking care of his boys and wife. Billy enjoyed sports, especially football. An animal lover, he especially loved his dogs. A loving father and dedicated husband, Billy always put his family first. He loved life and had a great laugh—one that inspired people. Described as an “all around good person”, Billy had a heart for people and will be greatly missed. Death leaves a void that no one can fill; but his love leaves us memories that no one can steal.
Other survivors include two sons, Christopher Shane Wiggins and William Corey Wiggins; his parents, Louise Jones Johnson and Theodore Johnson; four siblings, Laurel Viera, Johnny Johnson, Julie Johnson and Crystal Lundy (Brad); mother-in-law, Dorothy Massey; special brother-in-law, Shannon Wiggins; nieces, nephews, other in-laws, and friends.
Because of the financial burden of their sudden loss, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor be made directly to James Funeral Home, P.O. Box 588, Wrens, GA 30833.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home immediately after the services Sunday afternoon, September 23, 2018.
