Stevie led a life dedicated to his family and the land. With his unstoppable spirit and unwavering love for farming, he leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all those who knew him.
Born on September 3, 1969, Steven was raised in Glascock County and graduated from Glascock County Consolidated School in 1988. From the early age of three, he found solace and passion on a tractor. He embraced his role as a true John Deere man, spending countless hours driving and maintaining the farm equipment. The great outdoors became his playground as he nurtured the land that brought him so much joy.
In 1992, Stevie married his childhood sweetheart, Meg Tucker Williams. Settling down in Avera, they built a loving home together and were blessed with three children. As a devoted family man, Steven's priority was always his loved ones. He found immense joy in spending time with them, creating everlasting memories that will be treasured forever. His granddaughter Millie Price, held a special place in his heart and the bond they shared was one of pure love and adoration. His face would light up with joy whenever Millie was around. His canine companion and buddy, Molly, also brought immeasurable happiness to him.
Outside of the farm, there were several passions that brought excitement to Stevie's life. NASCAR had a special place in his heart, with his favorite drivers being the Earnhardts. Every Sunday became an eagerly anticipated event as he parked himself in front of the television to watch the exhilarating races unfold. Antique cars held a fascination for him, appreciating their historic value. Loud cars, with their roaring mufflers and spinning wheels, never failed to put a smile on his face. And when the opportunity arose, Steven would seize the moment to relax and unwind while boating at the lake.
In addition to his love for life's pleasures, Stevie had a mischievous side. He was known as a prankster and jokester, always finding ways to bring laughter into the lives of those around him. His infectious spirit and zest for life were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Stevie's faith played an integral role in his life. He wholeheartedly embraced Jesus as his personal savior and tirelessly served Him at Fellowship Baptist Church for over 22 years. His dedication was felt by all as he eagerly assisted in the Nursery, nurturing the youngest members of the congregation with kindness and compassion.
Stevie will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Meg Tucker Williams; his children: Susie Price (Benjamin), Lucy Clark (Will), and Tucker Williams; and his adored granddaughter, Millie Price. His parents Teresa Gipson Williams and Bobby Williams hold close the memories they shared with their beloved son. He also leaves behind two siblings to cherish his memory: Brandie Pearson and Kristi Ankrom (Peter). Honored to serve as pallbearers are Matt Boyd, Luke Davis, Thomas Davis, Jason Mathis, Jammie Smith and George Tedder. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Brett, Steven Brooks, Jason Hartley, Junior Hawkins, Gene Hillman, Clay Prescott, Wade Rabun, Phillip Raley and Clint Smith.
To honor him, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to his beloved church—Fellowship Baptist Church, PO Box 25, Gibson GA 30810, earmarked for the Building Fund.
As we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we also to celebrate a life filled with boundless love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to family and farming. Though Stevie may have left us physically, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
