Ronnie K. Holdeman

Louisville, GA -           Loving husband, Dad and Papa, Ronnie K. Holdeman was born to the late Oliver and Lorena Koehn Holdeman on January 26, 1957, in Louisville, GA.  He was taken away unexpectedly on February 27, 2018, reaching the age of 61.

He was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on January 5, 1969 and had a re-consecration in his youth life that was very meaningful to him. Through this experience, the song “Saved by Grace” became a favorite.

He was married to Brenda Peters on November 19, 1978, at the Pinecrest Mennonite Church, Stapleton, Georgia and enjoyed married life for almost forty years.

Ronnie grew up on a dairy farm which he eventually purchased soon after he started married life. Several years later, he started doing what he loved, mechanical work on heavy equipment. He could fix almost anything!! Ronnie died while doing what he enjoyed best on the Coble Dairy Farm.

He was a big man with a big heart. He loved his Bible and was very concerned about the little things in his Christian life. Ronnie also loved his wife and family with an enormous love. His grandchildren benefitted from his optimistic view on life! They loved when he would get down on the floor to play with them. He definitely enjoyed good food and singing.

Ronnie was so looking forward to welcoming his oldest daughter home from the mission in four weeks. Sadly, there was a different welcoming party than planned on—Sharla and family home from Tanzania; along with Christy and her family from Burkina Faso. Although, he did not wait to welcome them home here on earth, he is waiting to welcome them to their Heavenly Home.

With fond memories, Ronnie leaves his loving wife, Brenda, and six children, Sharla and Brandon Unruh, Louisville GA; Renee and Winston Loewen, Surprise AZ; Christy and Bryson Unruh, Faunsdale AL; (presently serving in Burkina Faso, Africa) Loren and Julie Holdeman, Louisville GA; Diane and Carlin Giesbrecht, Louisville GA; Laura and Lane Koehn, Buhl, ID: eleven precious grandchildren, Raylin, Stacie, Alisa, Breana, Myah, Shoni, Darcy, Micah, Joel, Paityn, and Brynnlie: father-in-law, Ivan Peters, Louisville GA: four brothers: Wayne and Carolyn Holdeman, Geiger AL; Lyle and Marcille, Guntersville AL; Larry and Letha Holdeman, Bartow GA; and Marion and Patricia Holdeman, Stapleton GA; four sisters, Ruby, Mrs. Verle Schneider, Stapleton GA; Ileen, Mrs. Dale Koehn, and Lettie Holdeman, both of Livingston, CA; and Twila Koehn, Hydro OK: a foster brother, Tony Richburg; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Connie Peters, Louisville GA; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Jeff Zeiset, Faunsdale AL; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, one brother and sister in law, and mother-in-law.

Viewing will be at the Pinecrest Mennonite Church from 6:00-9:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 4, 2018.
