Robert Shelton Inglett, Jr., 57, a beloved father, brother, son, uncle, and friend, peacefully departed this earthly home early Monday morning, November 10, 2025, at Wellstar MCG in Augusta.
Born on January 19, 1968, Robert grew up in Wrens and achieved his education as a proud 1987 graduate of Glascock County Consolidated School.
Robert dedicated his career to the trade of electrician at Georgia Pacific in Warrenton. His life took a challenging turn when he suffered a major stroke at the age of 50, a circumstance that changed much about his daily existence but did not dim the light of his spirit and character. Known for his great sense of humor and selflessness, Robert was always willing to help others in any way he could, leaving a mark on the hearts of those who knew him. He frequently drove around in his recognizable red golf cart after his stroke, the sight of which brought a smile, comfort and familiarity to many in the community.
Robert had a passion for fishing and possessed remarkable intelligence, particularly when it came to his talents for working on motors and cars. He had a knack for fixing anything electrical, earning respect and admiration from those who witnessed his skills.
A man of faith, Robert worshipped at Wrens Baptist Church and Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, embodying the values of love and care that he so passionately shared with everyone around him. His personality was marked by a warmth that enveloped all who crossed his path; Robert’s love, care and selflessness touched many people in his short time here on earth.
He was a loving father to his two sons, William "Robby" Inglett and James "Ryan" Inglett, and held dear relationships with his sisters, Channing Warrick Guvernator of Newport News, VA, Donna Inglett Bailey (Donnie), and Becky Inglett Waller (Tim) of Blythe. He also cherished his niece, Shelton "Brynn" Waller, and nephew, William Craig Waller, and valued the support of numerous extended family members and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Patsy Jeanette Sessoms Inglett and Robert Shelton Inglett Sr., as well as his maternal grandparents, Mary Edna Simmons Sessoms and Albert Lee Sessoms, and paternal grandparents, Bessie Pearl Guy Inglett and James Lafayette Inglett.
Robert's life will be commemorated with a visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Friday evening, November 14, 2025, at James Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM with Rev. Race Lariscy officiating.
Robert Shelton Inglett, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and generosity that will continue to inspire and resonate in the lives of his family and friends.
