Robert Terrell Allen
Greer, SC – Robert Terrell Allen, 48, loving son of Jerry Witt Allen Reeves, Chuck Reeves and the late John Terrell Allen, entered into his eternal rest Monday evening, July 20, 2020 at Greer Memorial Hospital. Because of the current ordinances regarding COVID-19 and the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety, the family has chosen to hold private celebration of life services Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2020 at James Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Romanov officiating.
A native of Augusta, Robert attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church School in Augusta and then in Marietta, the Georgia Cumberland Academy in Calhoun, finally graduating in 1991 from Lakeside High School in Evans. He worked in pest control for years before opening a personal care home in Blythe. Robert then moved to Taylors SC and worked at Skyland Elementary in Greer. Cooking being his favorite pastime, he loved to share his “cooking tips” and recipes with others. Being highly intelligent and expressive, he found great joy in reading to elementary school children. A people person, Robert was very sociable and never met a stranger—a stranger was just a friend he had not yet met. An animal lover, his feline companion, Dory, captured his heart. Robert had a loving, generous spirit and was well-loved and respected. He had an unconditional love for his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Others left to cherish fond memories include his brother, Michael Jason Allen; sister, Anna Maria Reeves (Jesus Ayala-Perez); nephew, Diego Amado Ayala-Reeves; and many friends.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Wildwood Lifestyle Center, Attn: Accounting Office, 435 Lifestyle Lane, Wildwood GA 30757.
The family wishes to convey their heartfelt gratitude for the many loving prayers and acts of kindness expressed.
