MSGT Paul Leon Rathbun

Stapleton, GA.  – MSGT Paul Leon Rathbun, 79, loving husband to Evelyn Pennington Rathbun, entered into rest Saturday afternoon, December 8, 2012 at Jefferson Hospital.  Funeral services with full military honors will be held at James Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2012 at 2:00PM with Rev. Elliott Fulmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery.
Paul was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp, retiring after 26 years of service.
Paul was also preceded in death by his parents, Pearl Salmon Rathbun and Paul Rathbun. Other survivors include his 4 children, Sheryl Jean Turner, Jeanette Dianne Giebe, Michael Dennis Rathbun and Marla Sue Womble;3 step-children, Aubrey Pennington, Ricky Pennington and Donna Kitchens; a sister, Beverly Reid; 6 grandchildren, Joshua Womble, Philip Rathbun, Joseph Kight, Adam Worthen, Hannah Rathbun and Randy Turner; and 5 great-grandchildren.
