Nita Maude Wren Partridge

Louisville, GA  –        Nita Maude Wren Partridge, 68, entered into her eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, February 4, 2020 at Keysville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday afternoon, February 7, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church with the Reverends Tim Pendry and Edward Salter officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Born and raised in Stillmore, Nita, loving called “Scooter” by her family, was a 1970 graduate of Emanuel County Institute.  She moved to Jefferson County in 1971, working at Stapleton Garment Company until she had earned her degree as a Dietician.  Nita was the Dietary Manager at Jefferson Hospital for forty (40) years until she retired in November 2015 due to a decline in health. She loved to cook and was known for her homemade biscuits—everyone that ate one always wanted more. Her favorite word was “delicious”—a great word for her at home and at work; and her favorite color was green. After her retirement, Nita enjoyed going out to eat with her dear friend, Sara Gibson. Accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she was an active and faithful member of Providence Baptist Church for over forty (40) years and loved her church family. Nita loved to start each day with reading her Bible. Having a loving and generous spirit, she always put others before herself and did whatever she could to help people. She had an absolute love for her family and her greatest pleasure was spending time with them. Her heart and soul were her grandchildren and had special nicknames for each of them:  Tumpin, Marshmallow and Tweety, respectively.  Her time in her temporary home is finished. She now has a new, perfect body in her eternal home, where she is experiencing perfect peace and joy.

Nita is preceded in death by her parents, Ola Mae Jones Wren and Fred Lowell Wren Sr.; and seven siblings, Sandra Dumain Wren, Betty Akridge, Clarence Henry “Punk” Jones, Bobby Ray Jones Sr., Eugene S. “Gene” Jones, Williard “Bill” Jones and Robert Lee "Fuzz" Jones. Survivors include her children, Jeffery “Jeff” Partridge (Melisa) and Sandra “Sandy” Cato (Dairen); three grandchildren, Remington Lee Mathis, Robert Bryant Partridge and Kinslee Cleo Mathis; three siblings, Fred “Buddy” Wren Jr. (Linda) of Glennville, Willen Newmans of Swainsboro, and Wanda “Doll” Bird (Bud) of Stillmore; daughters—not by blood but in the heart—Angela Cowart of Stapleton, Alison Doughman of Millen, Crystal Roland of Evans, and Jamie Landrum of Lousiville; nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Akridge, Jimmy Akridge, Lewis Akridge, Ryan Farris, Neal Livingston and Wayne Mathis.

The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Providence Baptist Church, c/o Wayne Mathis, 1447 Clarks Mills Road, Louisville GA 30434.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff at Keysville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for the loving, compassionate and professional care.

The family will receive at James Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, February 6, 2020.
