Kathryn Lampp Coxville Marsh
Gibson, GA – Kathryn Lampp Coxville Marsh, 80, loving wife of the late Bennett Coxville and the late Walter Marsh, entered into her eternal rest Saturday morning, November 7, 2020 at Keysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday afternoon, November 10, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gibson with Rev. Stacy Williford officiating.
Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged.
Born to the late Lina McNeal Lampp and the late William Lampp, Kathryn was a lifelong resident of the Gibson area. After completing the 10th grade, she quit school to get married and start a family. She worked as a seamstress at Thomson Company, after which she worked in Quality Control for Gibson Garment Company and later at Stapleton Garment Company. Kathryn loved her Lord and Savior, serving Him at Gibson Church of God—she loved going to church and being part of the church family. Kathryn did enjoy watching game shows and Hallmark movies; going on family vacations—Las Vegas and cruises were her favorites; and having family gatherings. Kathryn was very strong-willed and independent and, once becoming your friend, was a loyal, dependable friend for life. Her love for her family was absolute and all-encompassing but it was the grandchildren who stole her heart completely. No one can fill the void left by her passing, but her memories will continue on in the hearts of those she left behind.
Kathryn is also preceded in death by her son and his wife, Ricky and Terrie Coxville; and five siblings, Polly Braswell, Mae Reese, Jaber Lamp, Dick Lampp and Billy Lampp. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Glenda Faye Post (Kelly), Scotty Coxville (Julie), Ann Marsh Cantrell (Danny) and Nancy Marsh Hardin (Stephen); two siblings, Ray Lampp (Faye) and James May (Patricia); fourteen grandchildren, Brad Phillips (Kelli), Priscilla Post, Ben Coxville (Amanda), Britney Howard (Dustin), Maddy Rae Coxville, Austin Wilkerson, Thomas Wilkerson, Ryan Coxville (Dolly), Chad Coxville (Danielle), Aldon Cantrell, Keri Fain (Kevin), Allie Cantrell, Wesley Hardin and Emily Hardin; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Coxville, Chad Coxville, Brad Phillips, Chase Phillips, Cpl Dustin Phillips (USMC), Ben Coxville, Austin Wilkerson and Thomas Wilkerson.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 before the graveside services.
