James "Jimmy" Clifford Graham

September 9, 1963 — October 21, 2023

Wrens, GA

James “Jimmy” Clifford Graham, 60, peacefully entered his eternity on October 21, 2023, at Piedmont Heart and Vascular Tower.  Graveside services will be held at 3:30PM Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the church from 2:00PM – 3:30PM prior to the graveside service.

Born on September 9, 1963, in Washington, GA, to the late Dorothy Worsham Graham and the late Clifford Jefferson Graham, Jimmy grew up in Warren County and graduated from Glascock County Consolidated School in 1981, after which he began his career as a spot welder with EZ Go, currently known as Textron Specialty Vehicles. With dedication and hard work, he rose through the ranks over the course of 40+ years to become a production line team leader. Jimmy's commitment to his work not only showcased his skills but also demonstrated his work ethic and passion for providing for his family.

As a very young man, Jimmy accepted God’s free gift of salvation through His son, Jesus, and was a member at Long Creek Baptist Church.

Described as a quiet and loving person, Jimmy found joy in the simple things in life. He possessed a caring nature and always went above and beyond to ensure the well-being of his loved ones. When approached for advice or guidance, Jimmy's wisdom shone through his words, making him someone others could rely on. His ability to offer sound advice earned him the respect of those around him.

Maintaining an immaculate boat brought Jimmy immense satisfaction. He took great pride in keeping it in pristine condition and could often be seen washing it with meticulous care. Additionally, he reveled in tending to his yard, finding solace in the act of cutting grass and nurturing nature's gifts.

One of Jimmy's greatest pleasures in life was indulging in his hobbies. He had an immense love—words used to describe this immense love were “totally extreme” and “avid-avid-avid”—for hunting and fishing; these activities brought him closer to nature and allowed him to appreciate its beauty fully. When not engaged in outdoor pursuits, Jimmy had a keen interest in various sports.  He was so very proud to watch his grandboys in all of their sports endeavors.  Moreover, he cherished teaching his grandsons about being outdoorsmen, sportsmanship, and life itself. Known as "Big Daddy" by his grandboys, he took pride in passing down knowledge that would shape their character.

Jimmy will be deeply missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Tammy McGahee Graham, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Meeting as juniors in high school and marrying in 1983, they embraced the joys and challenges life presented them. Daughters Brandie Kurtz (Heath Prescott) and Candice Price (Jared) were blessed to call him “Daddy”; his love shaped their lives in profound ways.  The bond between Jimmy and his grandsons was a source of immense happiness for him. Kaleb Price, Liam Kurtz, Gage Prescott, Wylie James Prescott, and Lane Price will forever cherish the memories, life lessons, and the love "Big Daddy" bestowed upon them.  Jimmy is also survived by his brother, Jeff Graham. Others left to cherish his memories include his nieces, nephews, other extended family, church family and friends. Serving as pallbearer will be Billy Gay, William Schmidt, Willie Lacy, Jason Bazemore, Billy Vaughn, Jimmy Posey, James Rose and Will Shelton.  Honorary pallbearers will be previous and current members of Briar Creek Bassmasters.

Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. Though he has departed from our midst, the impact of his presence will remain etched in our hearts forever.

The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to one of the following:  Briar Creek Bassmasters, c/o Randy Rhodes 20802 Hwy 1, Matthews GA 30818 OR Parent-to-Parent of Georgia, 3070 Presidential Pkwy, Ste 130, Atlanta GA 30340 (www.p2pga.org).
