Helen was a member of Stapleton Baptist Church, where she was known as their oldest member. A woman of deep faith, she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age, finding solace and strength in her beliefs. Her kindness and dedication extended beyond her immediate family, as she loved to care for infants in the church nursery, fulfilling her love for babies and serving her community. Helen led a simple yet complete life, characterized by humility and a joy for the little things, avoiding the fancy and the extravagant.
In her younger years, Helen found enjoyment in fishing and delighting in her culinary skills, always aiming to create an environment of relaxation and peace for her family. Following the passing of her husband, Helen embraced new experiences, enjoying travels, vacations, dining out, and shopping with fellow widows, affectionately known as the "Golden Girls of Stapleton."

Weeks, Chris G. Brooks, Robert Jones (Erin), Lori Smith (Scotty), and Cathy Magwood (Danny); as well as nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
