Wrens, GA  –              Elizabeth Rogers Davis, 82, loving wife of the late Charles H. A lifelong resident of Wrens, Elizabeth was one of six children born to the late Julia Weeks Rogers and the late Earl P. Rogers. She loved her Lord and Savior faithfully serving Him as a member of Wrens Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lucy Howard Sunday School class.  In her younger years, she loved square dancing and was a charter member of the Wrens Wranglers Square Dancing Club. A member of the Red Hat Rubies, she enjoyed many “shenanigans”.  Having a gregarious personality, she also enjoyed going to the Bartow School House Players performances in Bartow.  Elizabeth loved to go shopping and trying on hats. She had a fun-loving attitude and attracted many friends. Most of all, she dearly loved her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her delight.

Elizabeth was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Earl P. Rogers Jr., John Leslie Rogers, James Rogers, Sarah R. Clements and Minnie R. Newsome. Survivors include her three children, Wayne Davis Sr. (Rea), Franklin Davis, Eillen D. Cranford (Billy); six grandchildren, Wayne Davis Jr. (Leigh), Brandon Davis Sr. (Nadine), Joe Davis (Kristi), Christopher Davis (Allison), Becky Cranford Watts (Nathan) and Nicki Eggers (Jason); fourteen great grandchildren; a special friend and sister-in-law, Vivian Rogers; sister-in-law, Nell Rogers; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Davis Jr., Brandon Davis Sr., Joe Davis, Jason Eggers, Nathan Watts, Tony Kelley and Larry Lariscy.  Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu flowers memorial contributions be made to Wrens Baptist church Building Fund, P.O. Box 217, Wrens GA 30833.

The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, June 12, 2018.

The family would like to give special thanks for her caregivers, Crystal Darlington and Angie Kemp, who provided so much more than just caregiving.  They both genuinely loved Elizabeth and took exceptional care of her anytime—day or night.

If you could see me now, you wouldn't shed a tear.
Though you may not understand why I'm no longer there.
Remember my spirit--that is the real me
Because I'm still very much alive,
I've just been set free. Oh, if you could only see!
I have beheld our Father's face and I've touched my Savior's Hand.
All of Heaven's angels rejoiced as I entered the promised land.
Beyond the gates of pearl, I've walked on the golden streets.
I've touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the Crystal Sea.
The beauty is beyond words and nothing could compare.
I've even seen your mansion and someday I'll meet you there.
Let Jesus be your guide because His Word will show you the way!
So, please don't cry because we will meet again someday.
