David Mark Braddock
Hephzibah, GA – David Mark Braddock, 54, entered into his eternal rest Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his residence. Friends are invited to celebrate his life and visit with his family from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday evening, December 14, 2017 at James Funeral Home.
The only son of the late Zaydell Howard Braddock and the late Pleas Braddock, David was born in Louisville but was raised in Augusta, graduating from Butler High School. He worked for various companies, most notably McGraw Furniture in Louisville and Standard Textile in Augusta, before his health decline. He loved sports—wrestling, baseball, football, and NASCAR—and was a fan of all Georgia teams, his favorite being the Georgia Bulldogs—GO DAWGS!!. David loved the outdoors, especially being at “the lake” fishing—just being near the water provided great solace for him. David loved music of all genres, with a special affinity for rock ‘n roll—KISS being his favorite band. His strong-willed, headstrong personality housed a generous, lively, gregarious spirit. People were drawn to his magnetic wit—he loved to make people laugh and wanted everyone to have a good time—and engaging conversations. Most importantly, David loved his family through all of life’s trials. Rest in peace, David….
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica A. Thomas (Nick) of Wrens, his grandson, Nate Thomas; sister, Christy B. Dunbar (Randy) of Grovetown; nephew, Billy Dunbar; and many friends.
